AI tools

The AI tools section is a companion to your prompts. Save the tools you use, tag them, favorite them, and jump to them in one click.

What lives here​

Each AI tool entry stores:

  • A name and URL.
  • A description.
  • A category (Chat, Image, Code, etc.) and "Best for" tag.
  • Notes and favorites, the same as prompts.

PromptsVault auto-detects the URL host so the entry shows the right icon.

Add a tool​

  1. Switch to the AI tools context from the header.
  2. Click the + button.
  3. Paste the URL. The form pre-fills the name and category when it can.
  4. Save.

Why keep tools and prompts together​

Prompts and tools share the same folder, tag, search, favorite, and version-history infrastructure. That means:

  • A "Marketing" folder can hold both Claude prompts and the link to Claude itself.
  • The search bar finds tools and prompts in one pass.
  • Version history works on tool entries too, so you can track when you changed a URL or description.

What about access​

Tool entries are private to your account by default, just like prompts. The same team-sharing toggle is available if you want everyone in your workspace to see the link.
